Whoresville Studios - March 5, 2009

Studio upgrades... so a new studio name. It should be up and running in a month or less, and I'm way jazzed about it.

"Come to Whoresville" will be the new studio slogan, I think.

I have some broken bones... - February 28, 2009

Left foot... 5th metatarsal. Spiral fracture. It's painful. It hurts.

I'm okay, though. I'm "made of steel", so says my orthopod.

New cd, "All My Friends Are Whores" to be recorded soon. Jazz. Avant Garde'. Stay tuned!

Jeff Rinsky, piano / Kim Ciara, bass - October 18, 2008

Saturday, October 18th, at Cucuru.
7:30p-11:30p
Jazz. Cuban art. Great food, great wine. Simply fabulous.

Winter in the Rockies. The Ravings of a Mad-Woman. - October 13, 2008

It's October 13th. Cold night. Snow at 4am this morning. It's now 30 degrees F., and low is to be about 21 degrees F.

My hummingbirds left in mid-September. Now it's deer and bears. Foxes and lions. (Mountain lions.)

I'm still writing music for the next cd, to be recorded this winter... "It'll be a cold day..." heheh

Seriously, this winter. Keep coming back for more news about the new cd. Jazz. Not World. Not World Jazz. Just Jazz. Great players.

I have a new addition to the family. Bonnie is my Sheltie. She's now 18 weeks old. Lovely, full of life. Will post photos of her in a few days. Check back.

With Sam Milazzo, saxes. Jazz quartet under the stars. - July 19, 2008

At the Nosh, FAC Modern, Saturday, July 19th, 8pm-midnight. Jazz!

New calendar dates added. - July 10, 2008

See "Calendar Dates" for updated listings. Great jazz in great places... art galleries!

Kim's Blog - May 5, 2008

Today is Monday, May 5th. It's been a long time since I've done anything with this website... about a year. So much has happened in this last year... the important thing is that I'm still about, playing here and there, writing and arranging new things.

I hope to have two projects completed by mid-summer. Do check back from time-to-time, as I'll try to keep this page current.

Spring has finally come to the Mountains... my house, at close to 9,000 ft. elevation is now "Hummingbird Central." They're everywhere! Songbirds come and go, but the hummingbirds stay until the weather gets cold again.

I'm playing with Jeff Rinsky, pno. here and there, most recently playing at art galleries and such. This Friday, May 9th we'll be at the Broadmoor doing yet another art-show. 7pm-10pm. Wear something nice, as it's not a casual affair.

So anyway, enough of an "update" for now. Do come back. I'll write more another time. For now, it's off to lie on the deck with a frozen strawberry margarita.
